I. INTRODUCTION

Organization Background Information

The Lebanon Reforestation Initiative (LRI) is a Lebanese NGO registered at the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities under no. 1186 on 18 June 2014, which aims to expand, manage, and protect Lebanon’s forests and landscapes through a community-based approach. We work on building resilient communities to environmental threats, increasing environmental awareness and education, advocating for forest conservation, and advancing research in the forestry field.

II. REQUIREMENTS

The HR Coordinator is requested to provide recruitment and HR administration support to the employees and HR best practice delivered effectively to the organization through ensuring compliance of the internal HR policies and procedures while reporting to the NGO's Director.

The HR Coordinator is requested to perfrom the following duties:

  • Restructure, update and implement the organizational staff policies and procedures and ensure staff compliance
  • Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices in accordance with the Lebanese Labor Law
  • Organize and perform annual staff Performance Evaluation meetings in coordination with the management and update records when needed
  • Support the NGO Director in the preparation and execution of managerial Performance Evaluations
  • Support in project internal and external staffing and build organization charts
  • Manage full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, changes, development, and exit processes, in addition to contracting procedures
  • Ensure an accurate implementation of payroll and benefits administration (timesheets, leave balances, professional development balances, etc.)
  • Perform orientations, onboarding, and update records of new staff
  • Maintain both hard and digital records of personnel-related data
  • Lead the internship program
  • Ensure eligibility of future hires in the organization
  • Handle all employee requests and grievances in a timely manner
  • Act as a mediator between the employees and the management
  • Administer health and welfare plans through coordinating training sessions, staff performance development seminars, and team building activities to ensure optimal work performance
  • Report on HR activities, achievements, and challenges to the NGO’s Director
  • Participate in LRI events and support in their preparation

III. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or any related field
  • Min of 3-years’ experience in Human Resources including recruitment, payroll, etc.
  • Exposure to Lebanese Labor Law and HR best practices
  • Highly computer literate with capability in Outlook and MS Office
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
  • Effective HR administration and people management skills
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
