Basic Literacy Teacher

Duties and responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and effective environment during the sessions, ensure child-friendly atmosphere.
• Supporting in ensuring CP SHLS and mobile areas are safe and equipped for SaWC activities.
• Developing rules with children (fair, adjustable, and agreed).
• Prepare teaching handouts, activity sheets
• Implement child-centered teaching methods, diverse teaching to engage children. 
•  Use assessment tools to overview the learning enhancing progress.
• A Max of 16 working hours that provide effective teaching in literacy sessions to street and working children.

Qualifications

• Education: University degree or teaching diploma in one of the subjects with in the Lebanese teaching curriculum
• Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience.
• Demonstrated Skills and Competencies
• Demonstrated understanding of working with children and particularly vulnerable children.
• Strong ability to organize work and adapt plans on a daily basis based on the ages and needs of the children (Ages between 6 till 18).
• Desire to receive and implement professional development/training opportunities.

Working conditions

The Job requires understanding the challenges faced in working with streets and working children. Excepted to work under challenging circumstances, that requires a patient and calm attitude.
