Job Summary

The Partnership & Fundraising Specialist will co-lead efforts to secure sustainable funding and strategic partnerships to advance the organization’s mission and growth. This role involves developing and executing integrated strategies to diversify revenue streams, enhance organizational visibility, strengthen digital presence, and build lasting relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders.

The Specialist will work closely with leadership to ensure financial resilience and alignment with global best practices in NGO resource mobilization.

 

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work
  1. Strategic Fundraising & Partnership Development
    1. Develop and implement a 3–5-year fundraising and partnership strategy.
    2. Identify, cultivate, and secure strategic partnerships with international NGOs, UN agencies, government bodies, private sector companies, academic institutions, and diaspora networks.
    3. Design and manage a diversified fundraising portfolio including institutional grants, corporate partnerships, CSR initiatives, crowdfunding, digital fundraising, and income-generating projects.
    4. Conduct research, feasibility studies, and financial projections for new funding opportunities.
    5. Write, pitch, and manage grant proposals, ensuring timely submission and follow-up.
    6. Explore innovative financing models such as social impact bonds, time banking, and social enterprises.
  2. Campaign, Event & Portfolio Management
    1. Plan and execute fundraising campaigns and events (e.g., dinners, receptions, crowdfunding initiatives, digital campaigns, community outreach).
    2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual fundraising reports.
    3. Contribute to the organization’s 5-year business and expansion strategy, including financial targets and projections.
  3. Organizational Positioning & Brand Management
    1. Enhance the organization’s public profile through strategic media engagement, digital presence, and community relations.
    2. Pursuing relevant accreditations, awards, and international memberships to bolster credibility
  4. Marketing, Digital & Communications Strategy
    1. Develop and implement integrated marketing plans for organizational programs, products, and initiatives.
    2. Oversee website content to ensure it reflects current work and impact.
    3. Execute with creative teams to produce compelling marketing materials (videos, infographics, articles, ads).
    4. Develop PR strategies to enhance reputation locally, regionally, and internationally.
    5. Create contents, press releases, media kits, and maintain relationships with media outlets.
    6. Gather and showcase testimonials and success stories\ podcast from beneficiaries and funders.
  5. Relationship & Stakeholder Engagement
    1. Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, partners, UN agencies, NGOs, and community stakeholders.
    2. Facilitate networking through workshops, roundtables, and sector-specific events.
    3. Represent the organization at national and international conferences and meetings.
  6. Financial Compensation Package
