Role:
Manages the communication efforts of Legal Agenda to increase the visibility and outreach of all activities of the organization and create the highest impact
Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day digital communications activities of Legal Agenda
- Creating and implementing social media content and publishing strategies through research, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification.
- Facilitating the creation of a content editorial calendar to manage content and plan specific, timely campaigns.
- Updates the website and social media channels daily
- Monitoring insights, statistics and engagement indicators over our website and social media pages to document, analyze, and improve our reach and visibility.
- Coordinates the production of a diverse range of information products (including audio/visual communications) in collaboration with the Executive Director and Heads of Departments.
- Manage with graphic designers and video makers
- Drafts communications material, including infographics text, newsletters and other promotional materials
- Manages social media community and responds to messages in a timely manner
- Organizes media outreach; arranges all media contacts, press briefings, and interviews
- Builds information networks; plans and oversees maintenance of publicly accessible information materials on the different themes that Legal Agenda works on; plans and develops outreach activities
- Ensuring that communication outputs are of a high standard; respond to the needs of the target audience
- Maintaining an up-to date multimedia archive
Requirements:
- Excellent skills in Arabic and English (Oral and written)
- Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, basic software applications and familiarity with the internet and email communications
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude
- Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media and marketing
Experience and skills:
- Bachelor degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Advertising or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the field of communications in a reputable organization, ideally within a media, public or nonprofit institution
- High organization skills
- Works well under pressure
