RFQ FY22-005-LBN-005 - WGDP EWLFL Web Directory

Objective

The W-GDP: EWLFL project is seeking a professional service provider who can design/develop from scratch a web directory (dynamic/static, application/web based) to promote Lebanese women-led enterprises which can stimulate and reinforce their sales. The objective of the website is to raise awareness and visibility to those enterprises to create opportunities to those women and support them in becoming successful entrepreneurs

Scope of Work

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants should submit to- LWR a 2–3-page technical proposal, addressing the requirements below.

The web directory should include the following for a total of 200 women-led enterprises:

  • Business overview of the enterprise such as brief introduction of the business, products/services (narrative and imagery), business sector.
  • Business contact (email, number, location, etc.)
  • Main profile picture (can be of the business or the owner)
  • Pictures of the services and/or the products of the enterprise (photos will be provided by LWR)

Responsibilities of the program developer/digital media specialist (front-end):

  • Use WordPress or similar software to design/develop the web directories.
  • Design the web directory either from a ready-made template or from scratch (both options to be proposed). This will be determined at a later stage.
  • Using information provided by LWR, create categories/listings that can be filtered/displayed
  • Ensure that the data is correctly and safely stored on the web directory
  • Participate in discussion on how to best revise or format the directory (not required to be familiar with the content itself), how to pursue search engine optimization, and maintenance routines
  • Digitize and optimize the directory content
  • Format to ensure the web directory can be used on multiple platforms
  •  Create all content of the web directory in both English and Arabic.
  • Web design should take into consideration esthetics and coding necessary for promotions on social media (designer will not do promotions per se, but should be aware that design must be suitable for this use)

Because data will be managed remotely by LWR and not participants, designers will need to use or include software which allows for this second-party management and maintenance.
