Introduction and Background
Mada is seeking a videographer to develop two short videos for social media for agroecological producers under the project entitled “Strengthening the Resilience of Vulnerable Women, Young Adults, and Men in Lebanon through Livelihood Improvement and Increased Food Security” funded by the German Cooperation (BMZ) and implemented by Mada Association in partnership with arche noVa.
The project supports the transition to agroecology and improve access to food by strengthening the resilience of vulnerable women, young adults and men in Lebanon by improving livelihoods and increasing food security. The project aims to build a more resilient, economically stable, and food secure communities in the project regions by addressing livelihood and food security challenges through a comprehensive approach.
This consultancy aims to develop two short videos for social media that highlight the experience of the agroecology farmers’ market, covering its preparation, implementation, and impact. The video will serve as a communication tool to engage the public, and promote agroecological markets and agroecology.
Scope of Work
The Videographer will be responsible for the following:
1-Pre-production:
-Familiarize themselves with Mada’s agroecological work and the context of the farmers’ market initiative.
-Coordinate with Mada’s team to define the videos’ concepts, structures, and messaging.
-Develop a short script and storyboard reflecting the purpose and flow of the video.
-Identify key locations and interviewees (women and youth farmers, consumers).
2-Production (Filming):
-Shoot high-quality footage in Tripoli and/or Akkar, including:
-Market scenes, interactions between farmers and consumers
-Field visits and farm preparation
-Interviews with women and youth farmers and consumers
-Ensure appropriate audio quality and ambient sound
-Secure consent from individuals filmed
3-Post-production (Editing):
-Edit the footage into a 1–2 minutes videos, integrating interviews and music
-Incorporate Mada’s branding and visual identity
-Deliver a clean, engaging final product suitable for outreach and visibility
Deliverables
-A validated script and storyboard for each of the two videos
-Final edited two videos (1–2 minutes) in HD
-All raw footage and high-resolution images captured during filming

Qualifications of the Videographer
-Proven experience in social media promotional videos production, particularly in the development sector.
-Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality video production, including storytelling and interviews.
-Experience working in Lebanon and familiarity with the local context, including cultural sensitivities.
-Proficiency in video editing software and equipment.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Fluency in Arabic and English.
