The aim of the SDC Cash Support Programme is to improve capacities and socio-economic conditions of approximately 500 individual families and 2-4 communities for hosting displaced Syrians in Akkar region, north of Lebanon, over a period of 6 months. Expected start of the programme is July 2012. Mada in cooperation with SDC is implementing the programme
The database Manager assists the SDC Programme Manager in the planning, implementation and monitoring of the databse of the SDC Cash Programme in Qobeiyat.
. Specific Duties and Responsibilities
1) PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Responsible for creating the database for approximately 500 beneficiaries/ hosting families including
The data for household development activities
The data for communal support
- Description for the database for users and in case of replacement by sickness etc.
- Merging additional Excel list (If applicable)
- Screening double entries
- Integrating baseline data, verification and monitoring data
- Statistics report
- Establishing beneficiaries lists for publication and for payment backup
- Purchase and installation and supporting office IT and telecommunication equipment (office network etc.) in collaboration with local companies
- Prepare and implement evacuation strategy for the data
- Ensure the timely and complete input of all relevant data
- Contribute to the timely production of interim and final status reports for the project management
2) HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT
- Supervision the data entry officers and control the data collection, input and monitoring.
- Contribute to the identification, and recruitment of the necessary personnel to implement the project
3) COORDINATION
- Participating in the coordination bodies and playing an active role where appropriate.

- The SCO Beirut internal regulations as per the operational manual and others are to be respected at all times.
- Working language is English.
- Duty station is Qobeiyat, Akkar
. Knowledge required
ü Working experience with MS access database
ü Very good computer knowledge (word, excel)
ü Knowledge of supporting office IT and telecommunication infrastructure
ü Fluent in working English
ü Knowledge in project implementation and monitoring
ü Familiarity with the Lebanese context in general, the Akkar region in particular is a plus
ü Higher education (through a degree and/or equivalent professional experience) in computer science or telecommunication engineering or other disciplines related to the profile.
ü At least 5 years field experience
ü Experience working with international and local NGOs is a plus
ü Good communication and conflict management skills
ü Experience with donor agency is a plus
ü Language: Arabic and English mandatory
