Enumerator (x1) - Chouf area

Background

The Enumerator will work under the project “Transforming the food system - an alternative, solidarity-based model for food security in Lebanon” funded by BMZ and implemented in partnership with Helvetas.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

The Enumerator will be responsible for conducting an assessment to identify farmers interested in participating in agroecological awareness sessions under the project, which will take place in Chouf (Jdaydet El Chouf, Seir Jbeil, Mreste, Majd el Meouch, and Wadi El Deir).

The Enumerator will report directly to the Project Manager and coordinate with the MEAL team.

Main Tasks

• Induction and training: Attend an induction meeting with Mada’s MEAL Manager and participate in a training session on clean data collection and effective communication with stakeholders and beneficiaries, while ensuring full adherence to Mada’s Code of Ethics and PSEA policies.
• Data outreach: Conduct outreach to municipalities in Chouf to obtain lists of farmers ‘contact information located in the specified areas.
• Assessment and data verification: Conduct interest assessments through phone calls with farmers, and follow up with additional calls to verify collected data when necessary.
• Data submission: Submit accurate and complete data within specified timelines, adhering to quality standards in data collection.
• Reporting and updates: Collaborate with the Project Manager on the progress of data collection and any challenges faced during the process (daily updates).

Minimum Qualification and Experience

• Full adherence to Mada’s mission and vision, as well as Ethics Code and PSEA policies
• At least 2 years of experience in data collection (familiarity with Kobo App preferred)
• A Bachelor degree in any field or other related.
• Experience with NGOs
• Good Organizational, coordination and time-management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluent in Arabic, good level of English
• Proactive, flexible and dynamic,
• Able to use a personal car and having a driving license.

Duration

The Enumerator is expected to start working in the third week of June 2025 and will work for 10 days.
