Field Officer

                                  Terms of reference Field coordinator   The field coordinator is in charge of mobilizing the local communities, collecting information about the territory and participating in some transversal activities implemented by Mada and as support of project teams. The field coordinator in under the supervision of the North Coordinator   Main work interfaces   Internal interfaces -          North Coordinator -          Project Coordinators -          Administrative and financial team -          Executive coordinator.   External interfaces -          Partner organizations -          Other non-governmental organizations, INGO -          Local authorities -          Beneficiaries   Mission 1: Fire wise project   Data collection and mobilization -          Identify and mobilize key stakeholders -          Collect information on Akkar al Attiqa region -          Compile data   Coordination of the training sessions -          Organize the activities in close coordination with LRI and the municipality (training and awareness sessions for example) -          Facilitate LRI field visits in the region   Activity 3 -          Coordinate with LRI on communication material specifically whenever USAID visibility is at stake   Mission 2: Contribution to Mada’s activities Collect information on the region (needs, mapping of NGOs working in the region) in order to contribute to the needs assessment and the proposals writing Mobilizing communities (youth clubs, etc) in order to support emergence of local initiatives Follow-up with the two businesses supported (Chocolate factory and Fneideq cooperation) in order to monitor the activities and to support these two teams. Support the local team on a case by case basis (during special training sessions, donors’ visits, promoting the activities on the social networks, etc). Mission 3: Participation in the Akkar day preparation and implementation Two Akkar day events will be organized before end of 2016. The field officer as well as all Mada’s team will work in close relationship with the event planner in charge of the organization of these two events. Support could take various forms (visits to potential beneficiaries, visits of venues, etc) during the preparation phase as well as during the two events.   Education and knowledges required   Education background: graduate in social sciences, education or related field   Professional experience of at least 2 years   Good knowledge of North Lebanon and Akkar Region in particular   Driving licence     Computers skills: office pack (word, excel, powerpoint), Internet and email.   Languages: Arabic and proficiency in English or French   Skills required   Organisation   Reactivity   Relational skills   Implication   Adaptability   Initiative
