Field Officer

  Terms of Reference Field Officer  Mada is seeking a field officer who will be in charge of the implementation of activities with women’s committees in Akkar (6 months – Full time job), under the supervision of the projects coordinator.  MISSION 1: organize locally planification sessions for women’s commitees  Logistical preparation of the session and administrative duties related  Ensure the women’s will be informed of the sessions  Attend the sessions,  assist and coordinate with the expert ;  Take note and produce minutes of meetings MISSION 2: Follow women’s committees in the planification process of microprojects  Organize regular meeting with the women in order to support  them to finalize financially and technically their micro-project  Support the women in the elaboration of a work plan and tasks for the implementation of their microprojects  Support the women’s committees in the creation of the project  steering committees including representatives of women, representative of the concerned local association  Assist the women in their discussions with the concerned stakeholders (municipalities, ngo’s etc) and in the drafting of needed memorandum of understanding.  Help the women’s committees to prepare bill of quantity for the expenditures to be done. MISSION 3: Follow women’s committee in micro-projects implementation  Assist the women’s committee in the bidding process, selection of contractors and suppliers contracts elaboration and signature.  Organize regular meetings with the steering committee’s in order to support the women’s committee in following technically and financially the micro-projects implementation  Help them to elaborate all the support documents (frame for minutes of meeting etc)  Update the work plan with the women’s committees  Logistical preparation of technical trainings to be done  Logistical organization of needed field visits with concerned women MISSION 5: keep contacts with other akkar women’s committees Meet with other Akkar women’s committees upon request Collect information’s if needed Mission 4: Handling the responsibility of the project local expenditures  To collect invoices and ensure they conform to Mada’s guidelines  To manage cashbox handled and administer petty cash given  Provide accurate financial documents monthly  Present a weekly updated list of expenditures (realized and expected) Mission 6: Administration   Keep accurate recording and archiving of all activities, data, etc….  Organize meetings, take minutes of meetings  Prepare presentations  Prepare a weekly report to the project coordinator and provide information upon request  Attend coordination meetings in Beirut Education and knowledges required  Education required: BA in social studies or any other related field  Driving licence  Computers: Word, Excel, Power Point,  Languages: Arabic and French /or English Skills required  Communication skills  Organisation  Relational skills  Commitment  Flexibility  Initiative  Team worker  Ability to work under pressure and in short time frame  Good knowledge of the Akkar area and the local habits
