Vacancy Announcement   MAGNA (Medical and Global Nutrition Aid) is providing medical care for children and their families in times of humanitarian crises, conflicts, epidemics, famines and natural disasters. MAGNA creates medical humanitarian projects aimed at saving lives and alleviating suffering to those who are at risk. MAGNA’s humanitarian and development programs have been currently implemented on three continents - Africa, Asia, America, in twelve countries (Cambodia, Kenya, DR Congo, South Sudan, Haiti, Nicaragua, Vietnam, Nepal, Philippines, Myanmar, Lebanon and Syria), where in 26 projects and in over 82 health facilities in the world, offers medical, nutritional and psychosocial assistance to people in need. Since February 2016 MAGNA provides emergency medical respond to Syrian crisis in Lebanon.   MAGNA is looking for a Driver to be involved in the implementation and operation of the project activities including operation of the one MMU (mobile medical unit). MMU is covering selected informal tented settlements in Akkar District, providing primary health care to Syrian refugees.   POSITION OVERVIEW The Driver will closely work with the Mobil Unit team. She/he will be responsible to drive the Mobile Unit and support the organization of the activities with children implemented by the animators.   MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION -         Operate the Mobile Medical Unit in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life -         Drive the Mobile Medical Unit in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures -         Perform daily safety and maintenance checks, including minor maintenance duties such as changing the oil -         Support the mobile medical team by setting the space for the delivery of activities, including assembling and disassemble the tent; -         Ensure the safety of the children during the activities, eliminating or mitigating the dangers of the outdoor space that will be used -         Clean the vehicle as scheduled and/or required -         Maintain schedules and maintain order on the Mobile Medical Unit -         Support the mobile team by purchasing and providing the needed materials. -     To comply with the MAGNA Code of Conduct -     Checking daily, the technical conditions of the assigned vehicle (state of the tires, oil, fuel, brakes, radio equipment, spare parts, etc.), performing weekly check according to the MAGNA Logbook, refilling it when necessary, and keeping it clean to ensure it can be driven in perfect conditions. Carrying out a hand over if another uses the vehicle -       Ensuring the security of passengers in the vehicle, driving carefully, observing speed limits and traffic rules in the country in order to avoid car accidents. -       Ensuring all passengers have all necessary papers in order before travelling, and ensuring non MAGNA staff sign disclaimers of responsibility before using the vehicle -       Ensuring correct loading and unloading of the vehicle, submitting the documents to the receiver of the goods, checking the status of delivered goods, returning the duly completed documents to Supervisor and ensuring that the goods have the necessary documents -       Ensuring that all vehicle documents and the driver's driving license are valid and in the vehicle. -       Informing the line manager of any incident involving the transportation of passengers and/or goods. -       Knowing and respecting the security rules related to vehicle movements, specifically those related to customs, checkpoints and roadblocks. Ensuring all passengers know and respect the security rules   REQUIREMENTS -     Driving license -     Good knowledge of country roads -     Minimum 2-3 years of previous experience in a similar position -     High School -     Very strong understanding of current Lebanon context; -     Written and verbal fluency in Arabic, oral communication skills in English preferred; -     Punctual, organized and reliable
