  MAGNA is looking for a Medical Doctor for a project of medical mobile primary health care services for Syrian refugees living predominantly in Informal Tented Settlements in Bekaa Valley. The geographical outreach for medical mobile clinic includes three districts in Bekaa Valley - West Bekaa, Rachaya, and Baalbek – that is situated precisely within the catchment area of partnering health facilities and it is covering approximately 30 Informal Tented Settlements (ITS). All project activities are focusing on improving the access, provision and quality of health care services for Syrian  refugees.   POSITION OVERVIEW The Medical Doctor will be directly responsible for providing medical care and other medical and primary health care services during the mobile clinic outreach for Syrian population living in informal tented settlements within the medical mobile outreach. He/she is responsible for the daily medical consultations, clinical assessment and the prescription of treatment for all patients attending the mobile clinic, referral of chronic and complicated cases to the specialized health services available in the area or in other partnering health facilities accordingly.   MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION Medical consultation for common acute illnesses and dispensing acute medications. Provide diagnosis and counseling to each patient and determining to follow-up care if needed. Treatment of uncomplicated infectious diseases (watery diarrhea, dysentery and STI etc.). Identify potentials of communicable disease outbreaks.  Medical consultation for chronic diseases, initial treatment if needed and referral to PHC centers for chronic medications, regular follow-up and laboratory investigations. Health promotion on health services available in the PHC centers and hospitals. Stabilization services of emergency health conditions and immediate referrals to nearest PHC centers or hospitals after stabilization. Participate actively in the monitoring and the reporting of medical activities (correctly fill in patient files, forms, statistics, reports). Awareness and knowledge of referral options and pathways.   REQUIREMENTS Skills Experience working with refugees is helpful High Motivation for challenging and complex task and good common sense Strong skills in communication, mediation and cooperation Ability to cope with difficult security context and challenging environment.
