Psychologist

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 

Objective 1: Mental Health consultation

Carrying out evaluation of mental health needs of patients and establishing a plan of treatment

Participating in the development and implementation of PSS activities (counseling, psychoeducation, emotional support groups and life skills approach…).

Developing group therapy

Providing psychoeducation to caregivers when needed

Objective 2: Referral

Mapping the actors in mental heath care in Baalbek

Implementing and monitoring the Referral system

Referring patients to other health professionals whenever necessary, in order to provide the most appropriate treatment and improve the patient's condition

Monitoring of all referral cases

Maintaining strong working relationships with program partners and government actors

Objective 3: Reporting

Writing psychological reports

Collecting statistical and monitoring data about mental health activities

Attending the monthly MHPSS TF meeting

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Good communication (both oral/written) English & Arabic

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Clinical Psychologist

Strong analytical and report writing skills and proven ability to conduct psychological assessments

Desirable previous experience with NGO’s, experience with refugees

Good Computer skills

Good interpersonal skills
