Biomedical Engineer - Makassed Hospital

• Job Objective: Ensure proper medical equipment maintenance and quick efficient services to all medical departments.

• Main Tasks:

- Prepare annual Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) activities schedule for all hospital equipment.

- Supervise medical equipment inventory.

- Analyze equipment performance and provide recommendations to Head of department for better and optimal utilization of equipment.

- Participate in drawing technical specifications for new equipment.

- Assist hospital employees in all technical issues

- Troubleshoot equipment’s malfunctioning and recommend remedial actions that need to be taken

- Design new and adjust hospital medical equipment to meet departments’ needs

- Advise medical equipment users and assist in the application of medical equipment

- Evaluate the safety, efficiency and effectiveness of biomedical equipment

- Install, test, calibrate, maintain and repair various biomedical equipment

- Supervise the modification and adaptation of medical equipment according to hospital needs

- Consult with vendors on medical equipment and service support issues

- Carries Proper communication / follow-up with external suppliers to ensure optimum function / Operation of medical equipment

• Requirements:

- Bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering.

- Previous experience in the field would be a plus.
