Kitchen Chef (Al Makassed Assosiation)

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure safety and sanitation practices in the kitchen;

Vast knowledge of International and Lebanese cuisines;

Creativity: Knowledge of ingredients and how to use them in a creative way;

Monitors inventory and report items that need to be reordered;

Manages kitchen staff and delegates tasks related to meal preparation, cooking and delivering food to diners in a timely manner;

Prepares food menu and suggests new recipes;

Applies neat and creative presentation for food display;

Estimates expected food consumption and organizes preparation;

Keeps records and accounts of food purchases;

Prices food items and set budgets for events in collaboration with the responsible supervisor;

Orders food supplies and kitchen equipment, as needed;

Stores food products in compliance with safety practices;

Handles cooking and baking trainings for needed participants.

Implements training sessions with community women

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with planning menus and ordering ingredients;
  • Knowledge of a wide range of recipes;
  • Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment;
  • Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends;
  • Between 28 and 35 of Age.
  • Leadership skills;
  • Time management skills.
