- Weighs and measures the height of all admitted patients to the floor
- Puts bracelets on all patients’ wrists, when admitted to floor
- Ensures cleanness of patients
- Assists in all diagnostic procedures
- Feeds all patients according to medical order
- Takes vital signs and record them on TPR sheet
- Reports any abnormal changes in patient medical status to the Registered Nurse/ In- Charge Nurse
- Receives and discharge patients to and from the floor
- Records findings and inform RN in case of abnormality, empty Foley catheter bags
- Checks and report the unit’s materials availability to superiors (linen, gauzes, sets…)
- Gives postmortem care (cleanness, roll in clean cover…)
- Prepares patients to surgical procedures (shaving, giving enemas…)
- Performs routine patients’ safety rounds on an hourly basis
- Ensures tidiness and cleanness of the unit
- Participates in all floor meetings
- Ensures proper maintenance and use of medical equipment and report any misusage or malfunctioning to RN
- Performs clerical tasks, when needed
