Senior Finance Officer

  • Leads, supervises, and supports the development, performance and direction of the Finance Directorate.
  • Leads the development of long-term financial strategies in alignment with the association’s goals.
  • Conducts regular financial analysis to identify trends, assess financial performance, and determine financial risks and opportunities.
  • Oversees the preparation and management of the association’s budget.
  • Ensures budget alignment with the strategic objectives of the association.
  • Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, reports for board members, and tax returns.
  • Ensures compliance with local financial legal requirements.
  • Manages and oversee the organization’s cash flow and forecasting.
  • Optimizes the handling of banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions.
  • Develops and oversees risk management policies to ensure the financial stability of the association.
  • Ensures robust internal controls and maintain integrity in all financial transactions.
  • Manages the association’s investment activities and strategies.
  • Oversees asset management including real estate and other properties.
  • Maintains strong relationships with external partners and stakeholders including banks, investors, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Prepares financial reports and insights to the board of directors and key stakeholders.
  • Provides guidance and training to the finance team and other departments on financial matters.
  • Develops and implement financial policies and procedures for the association.
  • Ensures policies reflect current laws and regulations and align with the association's mission.
  • Oversees and conduct feasibility studies for new projects, initiatives, or investments.
  • Evaluates the financial viability, risks, and benefits of proposed projects.
  • Oversees the implementation and maintenance of financial management systems.
  • Stays abreast of technological advancements and implement systems that improve financial data management and reporting efficiency.
  • Engages in strategic partnerships and business development activities to enhance the association’s financial resources and opportunities.

• Prior working experience working as a Finance manager, preferably within a diversified business setting.
• Experience of managing conflict and sensitive issues and achieving positive outcomes.
• Experience of working in partnership with a range of stakeholders including managers, employees and external partners.
