Tanbour Player

Performance: Playing the tanbour in solo, ensemble, or vocal accompaniment settings, particularly for Kurdish folk, Persian classical, or Yarsani mystical music.

Technique Application: Using a specialized right-hand technique that involves using all five fingers to strum and pluck the three metal strings, including the "shorr" (tremolo) technique.

Ceremonial Role: Serving in religious or spiritual contexts, such as Yarsani ceremonies, where the instrument is considered sacred.

Improvisation & Repertoire: Memorizing and performing traditional Kurdish maghams (modes) and composing new music or improvising during performances.

Instrument Maintenance: Tuning and caring for the instrument, which usually has 14 movable frets
