CBP Community Social Worker/OV focal point

Specific tasks as related to OV Focal Point’s role:

  • Liaise and coordinate with the Outreach Volunteers (OVs)
  • Ensure that OVs have a full understanding of their responsibilities in referral tasks
  • Implement the Code of Conducts and make sure to respect the confidentiality rule when dealing with refugees and to abide by the guidelines for dealing with sexual and gender-based violence and exploited persons
  • Provide support and understanding to the OVs
  • Provide OVs with sensitivity and empathy
  • Assist the monthly coordination meetings with UNHCR and partners
  • Assist all training given to OVs
  • Assist internal OV monthly meetings at MF, and the OV monthly meeting conducted by UNHCR
  • Write the Sitrep reports, and ensure proper documentation and updates
  • Compile OVs monthly documents in one document, monitor the final reports before sharing it with UNHCR
  • Coordinate with all 4 departments at MF to send the monthly reports properly and on time to UNHCR
  • Assess the needs of these communities and groups and propose ideas for awareness or other psycho-social activities
  • Organize and coordinate with the OVs awareness’s, visits and monthly meetings schedules
  • Coordinate with UASC-IRC project and assist to all trainings and meetings
  • Conduct and monitor the monthly home visits to relevant UASC designated by CP department
  • Communicate on regular basis with OVs regarding the cases at risk

Inform the OVs about all meetings, events conducted by UNHCR or MF, as well as any information received  by UNHCR to share it with the OVs
