Gbv Coordinator

Duties The Protection Specialist will be responsible for the technical aspects of the Protection programme, day to day coordination, donor compliance and contribute to the development of the Makhzoumi Foundation, with a strong focus on GBV. This position reports to the Unit Manager. Technical support and staff management Provide technical support, supervision and guidance to the GBV case management and Outreach and PSS teams at the national and field levels (including development of technical tools and guidance, tailored capacity building plans, trainings and on-the-job coaching); Ensure that staff adhere to GBV best-practices and professional standards and principles through capacity-building and on-the-job support;  Technically supervise GBV Case Management team and GBV Outreach and PSS team based in the field (including Support to recruitment and performance appraisals);   Project development, implementation and reporting Assist the Supervisors in the assurance of quality service delivery as per donor requirements and national SOPs; Design and coordinate the GBV protection strategy Support the submission of timely, accurate and well-written donor reports and other reporting requirements of GBV programming; Design proposals to secure follow on or expansion funding for the GBV program as per identified needs, provide GBV inputs into other sector proposals;  Oversee production of external reports on GBV themes;   Sector coordination and external representation Actively participate in national level GBV Task force, and PWG, related technical sub-working groups, and as much as possible field-working groups;  Work closely with other sectors to ensure that GBV is adequately addressed and mainstreamed across sectors and humanitarian interventions;   Monitoring & Evaluation  Work closely with GBV and M&E teams to develop and implement ethical and safe monitoring and evaluation tools and mechanisms, including qualitative data collection and analysis;  Oversee and ensure analysis of results and guide GBV staff to use these results to enhance program effectiveness and quality; About you Essential qualifications:  • University degree or higher education relevant to social work, public health, human rights or other relevant fields;  • Thorough understanding of best practices and strategies in Protection, and GBV response (case management, psychosocial support, etc.) and prevention and risk reduction.  • Proven experience in community-based protection, specifically working in urban refugee settings; Essential experience: • At least 5 years of proven experience in implementation of GBV, and protection programming in emergency and stabilization contexts;  • Thorough experience implementing GBV programs;  • Experience setting up GBV monitoring programmes;  • Solid experience with planning, reporting, monitoring and evaluation skills;  • Experience in capacity building and providing direct technical support to staff • Thorough understanding of GBVIMS and protection information management in general. • Proven experience in advocacy to governmental, donor and UN agencies on protection.  Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Good computer skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel…) Exceptional organizational and planning skills Self-motivation and strong team spirit Dynamic personality and ability to work under pressure Commitment  to the values, vision, mission and code of conduct of the Makhzoumi Foundation Languages: Fluency in English written & spoken essential Fluency in Arabic written & spoken desirable   The tasks and responsibilities defined in this job description are not exhaustive and can evolve depending on project or unit needs.
