Pharmacist

• Reinforce the primary health care goals adopted by the center (compliance with policies and procedures, patient-centered health care, improving the quality of performance and services).
• Adherence to work hours and respect the time and deadlines set for the completion of the tasks assigned.
• Maintain a decent personal appearance in the workplace.
• Abide by the budget of the health center pharmacy
• Respect the professional secrecy and maintain the confidentiality of the information that is accessed.
• Take initiative to develop self and qualifications, to be acquainted with the developments of work and to share this knowledge with subordinates.
• Ensure that the beneficiaries are satisfied with the services of the health center.
• Realize the impact of the work done on the health center in general.
• Execute the work assigned by officials within the scope of the job.
• Maintain the safety of used equipment and devices and using them in a safe, secure and rational manner.
• Provide basic medicines and to dispense them in the correct manner.
• Prepare medicine orders using correct scientific methods.
• Establish a clear system that shows how to store medicines and supervise their coordination and storage at an appropriate temperature in closed medicine cabinets, using the correct scientific methods in respect to the expiration date.
• Register special records for designated medicines in case of preservation.
• Use systems to discover the expired drug with written procedures on how to dispose these drugs.
• Record the dispensed medicines in the quantities prescribed by doctors according to the medical prescription.
• Receive beneficiaries cheerfully and help them secure their medication needs.
• Write down clearly on how to use the medicine and make sure that the patient understands the information on it.
• Provide the auditors with adequate instructions towards the optimal use of the drug, its storage and its side effects.
• Comply with the cost of medication issued by the center's administration.
• Ensure that there is a list of available medicines in the center according to the indications for use in each clinic of the center.
• Prepare a monthly report that includes a census of the beneficiaries according to the type of medicine, the percentage of medicines prescribed by the doctors, in addition to the self-evaluation of workflow inside the medicine room, and the development proposals and submit it to the director.
• Prepare monthly reports on the center’s need for medicines provided by the Ministry of Health and the supporting entities.
• Ensure the availability of all forms related to the pharmacy activity, updating the data in the records and electronically, and save and distribute circulars.
• Participate in the health awareness programs prepared by the center.
• Prepare a draft budget for drugs and medical supplies for the center with the administration's review.
• Supervise the arrangement and cleanliness of the medicine room.
• Preserve medicines in a correct and healthy way and ensure effective climatic conditions to maintain its effectiveness.
• Adherence to safety guidelines from high-risk products and drugs and caution.
• Use personal protection tools when carrying out any tasks in a correct and proper manner.
• Adhere to the instructions and guidelines related to occupational safety to secure self-protection and to protect workers and beneficiaries, and execute mandatory training on them before starting work and periodically: public safety procedures, infection control and procedures, fire prevention and control, ensuring that the evacuation plan is known in the event of a fire.
• Attend the employees' meeting periodically.
• Follow-up on educational and training courses for pharmacists through coordination with the competent authorities such as continuing medical education programs, skills development courses in foundations and methods of communication and skills development courses in the use of computers
• Prepare and implement training courses and continuous medical education programs for pharmacist assistants at the center
