Project Coordinator

The MF Relief unit is seeking a Project Coordinator. Under the supervision of the unit Manager, the Project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the good implementation of the project in Beirut and Mount Lebanon area. Major Responsibilities: The Project Coordinator position’s major objectives are to properly achieve the following tasks: The project Coordinator ensures an efficient coordination among partners, donors, authorities and other components of the project. Support and supervise the team in implementation of the project. Build staff capacity in accordance with adequate international guidelines and technical manuals. Ensure the coherence and the homogeneity of the activities under his/her responsibility. Ensure that project action plan is reviewed periodically based on the feedback from the monitoring of the project. Understand and appropriately implement donor guidelines and procedures regarding reporting requirements, procurement of goods and services and keep informed of any new official guidelines and procedures. Managing the activities budget and following-up the expenses as well as providing monthly budget forecasts Set up and ensure the continuous monitoring of the activities under his/her management including qualitative and quantitative monitoring; ensuring that proper policy, standards & codes of conduct are enforced. Conduct regular meetings with center managers and team leaders. Suggest new operations according to needs identified in the area. Report weekly on activities. Qualifications: A graduate degree in international relations, business administration, management, human rights, social sciences or related field; Minimum 3 years professional work experience in humanitarian/ development work, livelihood; Demonstrated experience in managing and leading projects; Demonstrated technical expertise and experience in local livelihoods and/or social cohesion programming; Proven analytical and strategic planning skills; High-level communications and people skills; Excellent writing and communication skills able to negotiate effectively between different stakeholders, and to represent the project; Extensive experience in representation and networking, in particular with Governments, humanitarian and development actors and Donors; Demonstrated project, program and human resource management experience, including in working with local partners;  Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:  Experience in in an NGO/INGO Strong experience in finance and budgets Excellent leadership and organizational skills Excellent knowledge of project management Strong written and oral communication skills Excellent inter-personal skills, demonstrating diplomacy and tact Proven management ability and inter-personal skills Promotes teamwork and able to influence and motivate individuals Capable of applying skills and knowledge in a range of capacities, including direct implementation, remote management, advisory functions, training and the transfer of technical knowledge and management skills to others Self-motivated, flexible and adaptable to the needs of the team and organization
