Psychologist

Scope of responsibility: Primary healthcare Psychologist, Works collaboratively with the team according to Makhzoumi Foundation policies and procedures. Activities: Provide psychological services for beneficiaries Provide individual (adults, adolescents and children), family, and/or group psychotherapy Provide clinical interviews, diagnosis, reports and recommendations Help emotionally and mentally disturbed individuals cope with and function in life Provide direct psychosocial support and refer internally and externally as needed, respecting confidentiality and the right of the beneficiary Administer and interpret a variety of psychological tests and assessment instruments Interface with families, treatment team members and case management Conduct discussion group, focus group with individuals, families Conduct awareness sessions with beneficiaries when needed Work directly with the social workers in the relief unit and other NGOs to develop intervention plans and follow up Address needs and requests in a professional way Report any incident or act that causes any harm to beneficiary or to others Always respect a refusal of treatment Attend the MHPSS meeting of the mental health task force Administrative Activities: Participates in performance improvement activities as requested. Participates in continuous education and demonstrates desire to develop strategies for improved patient care.   Experience required: At least One year in Behavioral Psychology.   Education degree: Bachelor Degree or Master’s Degree.   Field of education: Psychology studies.   Required qualifications and qualities: Computer knowledge, Excellent communication skills, team working capacities, self-motivation, good listening skills, good time-management and multi-cultural tolerance.   Immediate availability to take up position if selected.
