Project Summary:
BALADI CAP is a six-year, technical assistance program funded by USAID/Lebanon that advances the institutional capacities of Lebanese civil society organizations (CSOs) and municipalities/unions to improve the delivery of services to local citizens.

Responsibilities:
During the period of performance, the Communications and Social Media Associate will perform the following activities in close coordination and cooperation with the BALADI CAP COP and project team:
- Conduct two (2) general trainings on “Communications and Social Media.” The trainings, tailored to CSO audiences, will focus on:
- Online communications (including websites and e-newsletters);
- How to properly use social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube;
- How to boost the organization’s image and visibility on websites and social media;
- How to attract and sustain visitors to websites and/or social media channels;
- How to use online platforms to track and gather analytics about site visitors;
- Up to three (3) workdays are expected to be needed for the trainings listed above; including one (1) day for training preparation, and two (2) days for training implementation.
- Conduct on-the-job trainings (OJTs) for four (4) CSOs:
- The trainings will cover the development of a project communications plan for identified CSOs;
- Up to three (3) half-day (4-hour) sessions are expected to be needed for each CSO to cover the following topics:
- Preparation of a project communication plan;
- Reporting progress on communication;
- Report on progress made by each CSO during the trainings and their likelihood of successfully drafting, approving and implementing the communication plans.
- Schedule and attend all OJTs, in collaboration with the BALADI CAP logistics team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Media, Marketing, or relevant disciplines. Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the Communications field;
- Previous experience in developing and delivering trainings on communications plans;
- Previous experience working with civil society organizations (preferably, Lebanese CSOs);
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Highly organized work habits, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team;
- Fluency in English and Arabic required.
