For more information on MSI, please visit our website at www.msiworldwide.com. Proposal Summary: MSI is seeking GIS/Monitoring and Evaluation Officers for an anticipated USAID/OTI-funded program. The goal of this project  is to provide USAID  with the means to support local communities and partners advance peace and democracy in Lebanon. **Please note: This is a local position. Only Lebanese citizens are eligible to apply.**   Position Summary:The GIS/Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will be responsible for monitoring grant implementation and evaluating their impact as necessary. The Officer will also provide GIS and mapping technical assistance to the field, working with a variety of OTI, USAID and MSI staff. The Officer will oversee an Monitoring and Evaluation/Database Manager. Responsibilities: Monitoring and evaluation of grant implementation and impact. Rapid reporting of program status and impact. Direct field mapping support, including interaction with the OTI/Washington GIS Unit. Fostering and maintaining relationships with key mapping contacts in-country. Ensuring quality and completeness of program GIS information in compliance with USAID/OTI’s GIS/mapping standards. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher. Basic knowledge of monitoring and evaluation, preferably on development projects.  Knowledge of USAID procedures is an advantage. Comfortable working and utilizing computers and other related GIS automated tools, systems, software and applications. Basic experience or knowledge monitoring grants implementation and evaluating their impact and performance. Understanding of GIS within the context of international development; knowledge of GIS and cartographic concepts, theory and practices. Experience with project management and USAID regulations a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills. Ability to occasionally travel to project activity locations. Proven ability to work effectively as a team member.
