Project Summary: Citizens for Change in Lebanon, a three-year program funded by USAID, will develop and scale up civil society and media programming through an approach that capitalizes on civil society and media investments in policy analysis, advocacy, awareness-raising, media, networking, and community engagement. The program objective is to strengthen civil society’s ability to act as a catalyst for change through civic advocacy, activism, and participation.
Position: Grants Manager
Understand and adhere to all USAID, MSI and project rules and regulations concerning grants, and keep abreast of all changes made to these policies;
Monitor and manage all administrative and financial details concerning issuance of project grants;
Coordinate with grantees during the execution of their grant and work with grantees on grantee procurement procedures and documentation as needed;
Analyze budget estimates and expenditures during execution to ensure feasibility, consistency, allocable costs, and compliance;
Work with grantees and technical staff on monitoring and evaluation (both technical and financial);
Make regular reports on grantee performance as well as on funds obligated, disbursed, and set aside for specific programmatic objectives;
Coordinate communication and visits between project staff and grantees;
Ensure timely communications with program and M&E units on any and all issues and items concerning grantee achievements, notable events, performance, completion of milestones and any other issue of interest;
Maintain all grants files and tracking databases;
Responsible for all documentation related to close out of grants.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a related field
At least 7 years of experience, including at least 3 years working on grants
Field experience with local and/or international NGOs
Project management and administrative experience
Prior experience with and/or good understanding of donor organizations active in Lebanon, particularly USAID
Fluency in Arabic and English (written and verbal)
Ability and willingness to conduct site visits throughout the country on a regular basis
