Organizational Development Junior Officer, BALADI CAP, Lebanon    Project Summary:  The Building Alliances for Local Advancement, Development and Investment Project (BALADI) aims to improve public service delivery at the local and regional level, promote community participation in local governance decision-making, increase access to reliable and affordable public services, and support participatory and accountable local governance. The goal of BALADI is to achieve sustained and broad-based economic growth by engaging with municipal government institutions, Lebanese-registered grassroots organizations, and businesses. The BALADI CAP Project is a 4 year, USAID-funded project that will complement and bolster the activities of the BALADI Project by providing organizational capacity assessments and capacity-building assistance to local civil society organizations selected to support partner municipalities in the implementation of joint municipal/CSO projects.     **Please note: This is a local position. Only candidates with Lebanese citizenship will be considered.**   Position Summary:MSI seeks to hire an Organizational Development Junior Officer to provide technical expertise and capacity-building assistance to select civil society organizations on a broad-range of organizational development areas, including strategic planning, human resource development, communications, operations, project management, board relations, volunteer recruitment, and policy-making. This will be a full-time position that will last until September 2017.    Responsibilities: Provide capacity building support and technical assistance for up to 50 local civil society organizations to enhance their management and internal governance capacity, under the supervision of and in collaboration with the Chief of Party and Short Term Technical Specialist. Serve as a member of the capacity building team in conducting capacity assessments of selected civil society organizations. Assist the Short Term Specialist in developing and implementing capacity-building activities to address identified needs through on-the-job training, mentorship and coaching. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, i.e. public administration, business, organizational development (Master’s Degree preferred). 1-2 years of experience in organizational capacity-building and training. Strong knowledge of Lebanese non-governmental organizations’ administrative and management systems. Prior experience working on USAID or other international donor-funded technical assistance projects preferred.
