About MARCH: MARCH is a Lebanese non-profit non-governmental organization founded in 2011, dedicated to consolidating social cohesion within some of the country’s most volatile areas. Our mission focuses on an innovative and multidisciplinary approach to peacebuilding and conflict resolution, engaging vulnerable and socioeconomically marginalized youth aged 18 to 35, who are susceptible to sectarian-based violence.
Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Psychosocial Support Provider for our conflict resolution center in Tripoli. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and implementation of psychosocial support (PSS) activities for youth enrolled in the center’s program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning:
- Plan and design PSS activities in collaboration with team members, aligning with MARCH’s rehabilitation and reintegration objectives.
- Psychosocial Support Coordination and Session Management:
- Conduct group and individual psychosocial support sessions for beneficiaries in Tripoli, focusing on themes related to conflict resolution, mental well-being, healing from the impacts of war and conflict, and behavioral improvement.
- Beneficiary Relations, Assessment, Follow-Up, and Documentation:
- Establish positive and trusting relationships with participants through PSS activities and informal discussions.
- Assess participants’ needs and create appropriate follow-up plans.
- Use the tools and methodologies by March to regularly maintain records, track progress, and ensure accurate documentation ensuring the strictest confidentiality of each and every participant’s profile, needs, and diagnosis.
- Activity Coordination and Facilitation:
- Conduct a variety of structured activities tailored to the diverse needs of participants based on age and gender.
- Work directly with both male and female participants, carrying out life skills and awareness sessions.
- Reporting and Communication:
- Participate in weekly team meetings to share recommendations on individual cases, progress and actions to be taken
- Participate in assessments, data collection, and reporting related to project activities.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports mapping psychosocial support services.
- Referral and Networking:
- Establish positive and trusting relationships with participants.
- Refer participants to external sources or agencies for needs beyond the center’s capabilities.
Qualifications:
- A master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or other related fields
- Possession of all necessary state licensure requirements
- Experience in trauma informed care and a strong understanding of the healing process is a plus.
- At least 5 years of experience in providing psychosocial support services, preferably in a conflict or post-conflict setting.
- Strong interpersonal, listening and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with youth from diverse backgrounds.
- Fluency in English and Arabic
- Ability to draft reports in English
- Attention to detail, Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable youth.
