Senior Psychologist (Part-Time)

This is a part-time position (3 days per week), with on-site work based in Tripoli, Lebanon.

Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the field of psychology. Experience working in conflict-affected and marginalized areas (previously impacted by civil war and sectarian-based conflict) is preferred and considered a strong asset, particularly managing complex, high-stress field environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual (one-on-one) therapy sessions and support groups for individuals (aged 18 to 40), both men and women, affected by trauma, post-prison experiences, sectarian clashes, or conflict.
• Facilitate parental support groups to promote healthy family dynamics, well-being, and resilience.
• Provide guidance and counseling tailored to the needs of diverse individuals.
• Carry out psychological assessments and develop treatment plans accordingly.
• Write reports and maintain accurate and confidential documentation of cases.
• Follow up on risk assessment sheets and take appropriate action when needed.
• Contribute to the development of mental health strategies and psychosocial support interventions.
• Support and train team members and local partners in trauma-informed care when applicable.

Requirements

• A degree in Psychology (Master’s, or higher).
  Please note: only applicants with a Psychology degree will be considered. Related fields will not be accepted.
• Enrolled in the Lebanese Order of Psychologists
• Minimum of 10 years of experience practicing as a psychologist.
• Proven experience in clinical psychology, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and culturally sensitive approaches.
• Demonstrated experience working in conflict-affected areas.
• Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care and culturally sensitive approaches.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.

Assets (Preferred but not required)

• Previous experience working with NGOs or humanitarian organizations.
• Multilingual capabilities (especially Arabic, English, and/or French).
