MARCH is a Lebanese non-profit non-governmental organization founded in 2011 working to consolidate social cohesion within some of the country’s most prominent volatile areas. Its mission is centered around an innovative and multidisciplinary approach to peace-building and conflict resolution that focuses on engaging vulnerable and socioeconomically marginalized youth between the ages of 18 and 35, susceptible to sectarian-based violence.
The social media and videography consultant is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring MARCH’s offline and online media strategy in order to increase awareness and visibility. He/she is responsible for planning, capturing and editing high-quality video footages that effectively communicates MARCH's story. He/she is responsible for creating social media online and offline campaigns and the day-to-day management of MARCH’s outreach platforms. He/she will be an active participant in data collection and analyses in order to consistently improve MARCH social media practices over time. He/she will be responsible for building and maintaining a positive image for MARCH. He/she will be in charge of establishing and maintaining relationships with Stakeholders, community, and public interest groups by writing press releases and other media communications, responding to requests for information, and press conferences.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND TASKS:
Social Media:
- Develop and implement a social media strategy, consistent with the MARCH’s identity.
- Create meaningful content on all social media platforms, including writing and editing social media posts, improving stakeholder engagement, and promoting social media campaigns.
- Establish our online presence, create awareness and encourage greater social media participation.
- Communicate with social media followers, including responding to queries in a timely manner.
- Use analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite Pro, and Facebook Insights to monitor and evaluate the Foundation's social media presence and performance.
- Set key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns, such as targets for a certain number of shares or likes and measuring a campaign’s performance against the KPIs.
- Capture and analyze the appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and social media best practices to measure the success of every social media campaign, then use that information to refine future campaigns.
Content creation:
- Create digital content including newsletters, websites, blogs, articles, pictures, animated explainer videos, etc.
- Plan, create, publish and share new content (including original text, images, video, and code) on a daily basis
- Update and maintain MARCH’s Website content.
Videography:
- Videography: Videography and video editing: Able to capture creative shots and make video editing for social media (reel and documentary). Produce high-quality videos for social media campaigns, product demonstrations, testimonies, success stories, events, and other purposes that effectively showcase MARCH’s mission, values, and success stories to diverse audiences.
- Edit and enhance raw footage to create professional-looking videos. This includes adding graphics, music, transitions, and special effects as needed.
- Photography: Capture high-quality, meaningful, and captivating photographs that highlight the activities, achievements, and impact of MARCH’s projects, events, and activities.
- Communicate regularly with the different team members assigned on the projects to get all the needed information and visuals to properly promote each project while also contributing the creative insights to enhance the visual storytelling process.
- Documentation and Archiving: Maintain a comprehensive and organized collection of photographs that can be readily accessed for various purposes, such as reports, presentations, and promotional materials.
- Flexibility: The photographer should be flexible in adapting the photographic style to suit the context and message of different projects, ensuring visual consistency with the organization's brand guidelines.
- Event and Activity Coverage: Attend and document MARCH’s events, projects and activities capturing candid moments and key highlights.
- Equipment Maintenance: Take responsibility for the care and maintenance of photography equipment, ensuring its proper functioning and longevity.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Experience as a social media specialist or similar position
- Experience as a videographer
- Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal, communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent knowledge of social media platforms including GMB, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook
- Understanding of social media KPIs, web traffic metrics, and SEO
- Experience doing audience research
- Familiarity with publishing and web design
- Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills
- Ability to create convincing and engaging content
- Flexible and engaging writing style
- Ability to pitch to media.
- Experience using various analytics software.
