Communications And Fundraising Officer

Responsibilities Media and Communications Manage the development and implementation of the organization’s media, and communication strategies Develop the organization’s social media presence, and relationships with key partners Develop and manage media relations and maximize media opportunities Ensure the organization is featured within press, radio, television, as well as online media Represent Marsa in the media and at diverse opportunities Ensure the public has a favourable image of the organization Create and manage sexual health promotion campaigns on various media outlets and platforms Develop internal publications such as newsletters, releases, planned publications, special projects and assignments Develop sexual health promotion materials (videos, brochures, posters, condom pockets...) in coordination with Marsa team Organize different events including press conferences, international health days celebrations Update of the organization’s website content regularly, in close cooperation with the managerial team Create rich and creative content that is optimized for search engines Fundraising Develop and implement Marsa’s fundraising strategy Liaise with and expand Marsa’s network of contacts Organize fundraising events Design marketing package for Marsa for relevant donors Achieve fundraising goals Coordinate with management and board to monitor and evaluate strategies  Profile University degree in a relevant field (Master’s degree preferable): communication, media, marketing, public relations... Minimum two-years practical work experience in communications, public relations and/or media Experience formulating and implementing communications strategies and plans Practical experience with electronic communication systems (websites and databases) Experience working in/with non-governmental organizations Experience organizing events such as press conferences, workshops and meetings Strong inter-personal and team building skills including the ability to liaise and communicate with colleagues Willingness and capability to maintain confidential and private aspects of the center Demonstrated capacity to take initiative and pay attention to details Excellent command of written and spoken Arabic and English, good command of French Good organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure Knowledge and awareness of sexual and bodily rights Supporter of diversity and advocate for rights of marginalized groups Capable of working late night and weekends when necessary Creative and charismatic personality   Office hours: Monday to Friday: 10 AM to 6 PM.Overtime required for specific dates and events.
