Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide direction and monitor field staff in the implementation of the work plan and quality of technical activities
Ensure project documents are updated regularly, for quality and timely implementation of project
Facilitate requirements and make recommendation for planned activities
Update records for the preparation of different reports on cash-based assistance for refugees
Undertake regular field monitoring visits and household level verification of beneficiaries
Ensure all complaints are coming through official mechanisms and followed with appropriate actions until it is closed.
Provide technical support for other team staff/programs in operations related to vulnerability assessment, FI/NFI distribution standards, and the utilization of e-vouchers
Manage data cleaning, analysis, and cross-checking of all beneficiaries’ data
Ensure monitoring and reporting is done according to the tools adopted and delivered on time
Contribute to planning sessions and tool development
Attend coordination meetings as requested by the Basic Assistance Project Manager
Staff Management
Oversee one or more of the Basic Assistance (BA) Assistants which includes setting a daily plan of work, monitoring their work quality, performing necessary approvals on Medair People (sick leave and vacation, etc), and creating a positive work culture
Perform the probationary period appraisal and annual appraisal of assigned BA Assistants
General Responsibilities
Know, understand, and clearly communicate Medair’s core values, programmes, and organisational profile
Respond to beneficiaries with compassion and confidentiality while upholding Medair’s professional reputation among the community
Facilitate the link between beneficiaries and Medair, providing information and feedback between beneficiaries and the Medair team as appropriate.
Read, sign and comply with all Medair’s Code of Ethics policies such as the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Harassment, Child Protection, and the Prevention of Fraud
Work within Medair’s operating policies, procedures, and software systems, ensuring the use of standardized formats
File and archive all electronic and paper documents in accordance with Medair (Data Protection) and donor guidelines
Maintain open and frequent communication, where applicable, with all functional links for this position.
Be flexible, willing to assist in other areas of work as relevant and needed for this role.
Person Specification:
Prospective candidates should have a minimum of bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (for example: finance, business administration, social science, etc)
Must have at least 3 years of experience in working with communities in humanitarian or development contexts, in particular with displaced or refugee populations
Experience working with refugees or Syrian communities./Experience working in a cash-assistance project.
Excellent Arabic written and spoken
Very good level of English, spoken and written
Excellent computer skills (Word & excel, Internet, e-mail writing). Technical aptitude to pick up digital data collection methods
