Cash Assistant

Major Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct home visits to households of potential beneficiaries for assessment, verification or household follow-up monitoring Assist the cash officer to plan for Household Profiling Questionaries’ and Medair Vulnerability Assessments Communicate any problems faced with Cash Officer and Cash Project Manager Communicate any referral needs that were identified as result of home visits Ensure accuracy of assessments Leading of Casual data collectors in field Become familiar with the LMMS registration process and the ODK assessments Ensure clear communication to beneficiaries Handle any complains within your means, refer complaints to Cash Officer Share appropriate information with potential/confirmed beneficiaries and the host community about the programme and be available to answer related questions and concerns. Call potential/confirmed beneficiaries to give information about upcoming visits and distributions Answer the helpdesk phone as requested by line manager, record any issues and follow-up as appropriate Be able to clearly communicate the programme to all who ask Plan, attend, and facilitate ATM card (or pin) distributions and ATM trainings In conjunction with the Cash Officer, plan and assist with the facilitation of any trainings related to the Cash programing project    Keep organized records and ensure timely reporting Ensure all paper work is accurate and correctly stored Keep updated records of assessments and distributions Be organized and prepared to provide Cash Officer and Cash Project Manager with project reports when required General Responsibilities To know, understand, and clearly communicate Medair’s core values, programmes, and organisational profile To respond to beneficiaries with compassion and confidentiality while upholding Medair’s professional reputation among the community Facilitate the link between beneficiaries and Medair, providing information and feedback between beneficiaries and the Medair team as appropriate. To uphold Medair values and to contribute to the wellbeing of the team as an active member Maintain open and frequent communication, where applicable, with all functional links for this position. Be flexible, willing to assist in other areas of work as relevant and needed for this role.   Person Specification and Competencies: Experience of working with NGOs, working directly with beneficiaries from vulnerable communities and doing home visits and assessments. Experienc working in cash assistant project. Good level of written english and spoken english and excellent Arabic written and spoken. Able to use smart phone, technical aptitude to pich up digital data collection methods, computer literate ( word, Excel) Passionate about serving the poor Self-motivated, Enthusiasm Aptitude for community mobilisation and engagement. Team-player with good interpersonal skills Willing to support others and share workloads Previous experience working in a multinational cultural team Capacity to work under pressure and manage perrsonal stress levels Ability to adapt communication strategies for different situations Flexible and willing to perform other relevent tasks in order to facilitate the running of project Creative, open-minded, flexible,self-learner Strong communication, particularly verbal, Ability to translate between written Arabic and English Excellent organized Able to prioritise and time manage Able to present clear and accurate data.
