GIS Data Entry Assistant / Zahle

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Data Entry

• Perform data entry and processing activities, using MS Excel
• Input into data collection plan with Mapping Officer

• Support logistics activities
• Update, clean and run model builders on the collected data using ArcGIS

Communication

• Receive and process data from Medair teams and other NGOs
• Communicate issues with data to Medair teams and other NGOs
• Communicate implementation problems or issues to Project Manager and GIS Mapping Officer

Teamwork

• Work where required to help the various activities carried out by Medair Zahle

Person Specification:

• Bachelor degree in GIS, Computer Science, Computer engineering, Information Management or any related field
• Some experience of working in an office and with big amount of data. Desirable work experience in a NGO.
• Good knowledge of spoken and written Arabic and Spoken and written English
• Excellent ability in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of databases and how to work with them
• Technical aptitude to pick up digital data collection methods
• Able to use Smart Phone.
• Good working knowledge of other Windows packages
• Familiarity with ArcOnline, Collector and ArcGis(Desirable)
• Passionate about serving the poor.

• Aptitude for community mobilisation and engagement
• Team-player with good inter-personal skills
