The IM Officer will join our Global Team and Shared Service Centre to provide IM services such as the creation of data collection tools, reports and dashboards (mainly remotely). The role will also customize, deploy and support applications providing valuable data tools to our country programmes. Finally, the hire will provide trainings on new applications and data literacy practices.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create assessments and ODK surveys, GIS maps, reports and dashboards for country programs
- Support and repair issues related to assessments, surveys, GIS maps, reports and dashboards
- Structure large data sets to find usable information
- Provide assistance to customers regarding the use of various applications
- Maintain, troubleshoot and fix bugs on production solutions
- Analyze processes and requirements to evaluate required customization
- Configure solution to fit specific needs
- Prepare and execute data migration and integration when needed
- Document requirements, processes and data models needing further work from the Application Development Team
- Deploy updates to the production system outside of business hours
- Create and deliver trainings on the applications deployed
- Create and deliver data literacy training to build capacity globally
- The holder of this position is required to keep an overview on new IM solutions and propose changes to improve the IM toolkit and organisational IM skillset

Person Specification:
- Degree in Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
- Knowledge or certifications of Qlik, DHIS2, GIS, ODK is a strong advantage
- 2+ years’ experience in applications development, information management, business intelligence is desirable
- Experience working in Agile teams preferred
- Humanitarian experience and knowledge of best practice in the field is an advantage – Medair experience is preferred
- Excellent English (spoken and written)
- Strong working knowledge of French required
- Good knowledge of Arabic desirable
- Knowledge of modern health information systems
- Knowledge of BI visualization tools
- Knowledge of data collection tools
- Experience in database management, data integration and mobile technologies
- Experience in business process mapping and analysis
- Communication and customer service skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge about principles to provide customer satisfaction by meeting quality standards
- Hard-working and flexible to provide support outside of office hours
- Self-motivated, team player with good inter-personal skills
