MEAL Officer Beirut-(We are hiring on a rolling basis)

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Technical side of the role

 

  • Ensure data collection is in line with the project framework and highlight periodically any missing information to project managers
  • Track, analyze and report project performance against targets and indicators.
  • Conduct observation and monitoring visits to ensure the quality use of data collection tools.
  • Produce timely and accurate MEAL reports (PIM, PDM …) highlighting project achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
  • Support MEAL assistant and program staff in the implementation of MEAL tools
  • Prepare and take part in the organization learning sessions
  • Design, conduct and analyze needs assessment tools, including focus group discussions, key informative interviews, and surveys to inform organizational activity trends
  • Conducting data Verification
  • Participate in monthly program catchup meetings, to reflect on findings and agree on action plans.
  • Oversee and follow up on the work of volunteers and data collectors and perform data collection as needed.
  • Organize and provide (when needed) refresher M&E training for relevant staff.
  • Lead the logistic activities related to the area of work.
  • Follow and abide by the reporting calendar and ensure timely submission of Medair and donor indicator data.
  • Responsible for data storage and ensuring proper data archiving of all tools and reports regarding project activities.
  • Coordinate with partner organizations to ensure data collected on time and entered in a timely manner

 

     2- Staff Management:

  • Manage assistants and help assistants to manage casual workers and volunteers.
  • Provide training to Assistants and casuals/volunteers when needed.
  • Ensures assistant staff managed remain compliant with internal controls.
  • Seek opportunities for capacity building with the support of line manager.
  • Ensure completion and follow-up of the annual performance appraisal for assistants.
  • Keep HRIS updated with accurate personal and work-related data, including annual leave and sick days
  • Act as good example for the assistants in the field

 

     3- Quality Management/Work.

 

  • Support /Assist in activities to uphold a high standard of work quality
  • Adhere to internal and external process service requirements
  • Consistently deliver quality work and meet productivity standards
  • Deliver reasonable quantity of work according to objectives set
  • Supervise and monitor the work of Assistants/ Casuals to ensure adherence to quality standards and organisational protocols

 

 

     4- Risk Management (in line with roles and responsibilities per position)

  • Compliant with internal controls and procedures
  • Understand and alert Line Manager of risks and potential risks and/or policy breaches in timely and appropriate manner.

 

     5- Security, Safeguarding, and Preventing Fraud and Corruption:

 

  • Understand and comply with all policies and security procedures
  • Report any suspected or actual breaches of Medair policies and procedures

 

   Additional job responsibilities:  

The duties and responsibilities as set out above are not exhaustive and the role holder may be required to carry out additional duties within reasonableness of their level of skills and experience.
