Monitoring And Evaluation Assistant

Major Duties and Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Collect data and complete surveys for follow-up monitoring and evaluation in order to obtain qualitative and quantitative data on the project performance indicators and objectives. Train staff on surveys, data collection and ensure best practices in the field. Support local communities, outreach staff, and others in monitoring and evaluation methods and principles. Maintain a transparent, honest and supportive communication structure with the Medair team, beneficiary communities, and beneficiaries and donors. Be flexible, willing to assist in other areas of work as relevant and needed. Qualification/Experience: - Experience conducting surveys. - NGO experience. - Experience working with refugees or Syrian communities. - Experience facilitating focus group discussions or workshops.   Skills / Attributes: -Excellently Organized.  - Clear communicator, skilled in oral and written communication - Excellent capacity to sensibly respond to beneficiary questions and complaints. - Excellent interpersonal skills. - Aptitude for community mobilization and capacity-building. - Ability to cooperate with a team - Flexible in working hours and willing to work in remote areas - Ability to facilitate programme and community interactions regardless of ethnicity, status, gender, origin or affiliation. - Sensitive to cross cultural issues. - Aware of security considerations. - Good judgement in insecure situations. - Calm under pressure. -  Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure. - Honest and reliable personality. - Mature respectful attitude. - Patience & perseverance. - Proactive and enthusiastic attitude. - Self-motivated. - Able to prioritise and time manage. - Experience communicating with the media and donors. - Good cross-cultural understanding. - Encouraging, supportive. - Flexible and willing to perform other tasks in order to facilitate the running of the project. - Desire to be stretched, professionally and personally. - Problem Solver. - Compassionate.
