Role and Responsibilities
Working as an important member of a diverse team, the employee will be responsible 1) Conduct initial assessments of ITS 2) Find and report new ITS in target areas.
Project Overview
The conflict in Syria has erupted into a full-scale civil war endangering lives in almost every community in the country. Desperate families, caught in the crossfire, are leaving everything behind and fleeing into neighbouring countries. Lebanon, one of these countries, has received a large influx of refugees from Syria. In response to the Syrian Crisis and the resulting influx of refugees into Lebanon, Medair is assessing and distributing shelter kits and Non Food Items (NFI) within ITS. Shelter and NFI are a large part of the Medair Lebanon’s programming which also includes site planning and GIS mapping.

Key Activity Areas
Conduct initial assessments of ITS & report new ITS in target areas travel to new and existing work locations to complete initial assessment which will be given to the project manager. Establish and maintain relationships with key leaders across targeted areas.
Reporting establish work sheets to update records and monitor activities, be prepared to present information or reports on project activities upon request to project manager
Qualifications
Academic studies in a relevant field.
Languages
Strong working knowledge of Arabic and English (spoken and written)
Experience / Competencies
Previous experience with community project, preferably with a NGO
Good working knowledge of geography and culture of the Bekaa Valley region
Experience with Data collection and able to workwith attention to detail
Have a current Drivers Licence
Ability to beindependentlyworking
Passionate about working as part of a dynamic and encouraging team
Passionate about serving the poorWilling to support others and share workloads
Capacity to work under pressure and manage personal stress levels
The position willbe 90% based in ITS. This is a PART TIME position requiringsomeonewhois able to travel and work in central and western Bekaa by themselves.
