Physician (2 positions for Bekaa-Baalback and 1 position for South)

The physician will be attached to a mobile vaccination team to provide the following services: giving support to the pre-vaccination assessors in decision-making regarding vaccination, receiving the patients oriented by the pre-vaccination staff for medical complimentary assessment when needed. Providing emergency medical care if needed before, during or after vaccination. Support the Ministry of Public Health’s vision and effort to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic. 

Mains Tasks and Duties:

• Commitment to working hours
• Receive patients by identifying themselves
• Check the patients’ identity
• Support the pre-vaccination assessors in decision making based on MoPH guidelines, whether to proceed to vaccination or defer it upon request
• Conduct complimentary medical assessment pre-vaccination if needed to ensure safe proceeding to vaccination
• Provide support to registered nurses in vaccination and monitoring stages in case of suspicion of medical issue
• Administer the Covid-19 vaccine if needed
• Respond to any medical emergency on vaccination site before, during or after the vaccination, providing emergency medical care, basic (and advanced) life support depending on qualifications
• Coordinate with first aid services and coordinate referrals of patients to emergency department when needed  
• Provide support in patient awareness and education session on vaccination site in coordination with the team
• Ensure proper record of all required information in the patient files and information system, including scanning documentation
• Ensure proper record of any medical incident in the patient files and information system
• Abide by all policies and work procedures
• Treat all patients with respect and professionalism
• Commit to maintain professional ethics, quality of care, patient confidentiality
• Inform the team supervisor and management team of any emergency
• Perform any other tasks based on needs to ensure proper roll out of the vaccination, upon manager and team supervisor’s request

Person Specification:

• Medical degree (MD) in intensive care and/or emergency medicine, internal medicine, general medicine, or anesthesiology
  Licensed from MoPH/ Registered with the Order of Physician in Lebanon
• Work experience in healthcare facility of one year minimum
• Familiarity with the MoPH guidelines on Covid-19 vaccination
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Stress management, adaptability, and autonomy
• Ability to work under pressure and in limited settings
• Basic computer skills (electronic medical file, Excel, Powerpoint, Word), electronic printer, scanner, fax, etc.
• Languages: Arabic in addition to English or French
