Summary:
The pre-vaccination checklist assessor provides the following services: receiving the patients oriented by the workflow and information facilitator, checking their identities, checking their demographic information, documenting and updating them if necessary, proceeding with the pre-vaccination checklist including medical history screening, in particular allergy history. Assessing the risk of vaccination and documenting any relevant information prior to vaccination. Requesting medical support from the site physician for decision if needed. Support the Ministry of Public Health’s vision and effort to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic.
Main Tasks and Duties:
- Commit to working hours
- Receive patients by identifying themselves
- Check the patients’ identity
- Provide patients with the required information as needed for the pre-vaccination checklist
- Check the patient’s demographic information from the registration platform
- Assess the patient situation to ensure compliance with MoPH conditions for vaccination
- Assess the patient’s medical history, in particular any allergy history to assess the risk of potential adverse event
- Decide to refer for vaccination or defer it based on MoPH guidelines
- Request site physician support for vaccination decision as needed
- Prepare any documentation for the vaccination and monitoring as needed
- Ensure proper record of all required information in the patient files and information system, including scanning documentation
- Responsible to ensure provision of necessary desk supply for his/her workstation on a daily basis
- Abide by all policies and work procedures
- Treat all patients with respect and professionalism
- Commit to maintain professional ethics, quality of care, patient confidentiality
- Inform the nurse or physician of any emergency
- Perform any other tasks based on needs to ensure proper roll out of the vaccination, upon manager and site supervisor request
Person Specification:
- Technical baccalaureate in the secretarial, business administration, accounting or informatics, or at least a BS degree
- Ability to have good verbal and written communication with all workers
- Basic computer skills (electronic medical file, Excel, Powerpoint, Word), electronic printer, scanner, fax, etc
