Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Within SDC’s, carry out consults for mental health and psychological support clients, including assessment, diagnosis, establishing a treatment plan, ongoing monitoring and referral if further specialized care is required
Provide psychological support and psychotherapy sessions (individuals, families, groups) to patients, including children, according to international protocols
Provide psychological support for sexual and gender based violence (GBV) and child protection (CP )cases
Refer patients in need of further specialized MHPSS care to other NGOs or health facilities, including psychiatrists if needed
Insure that all patient information is kept confidential
Document all consults in line with professional standards
Ensure good communication and collaboration with all departments through case discussions, attending team meetings and conducting trainings for CHVs and clinic staff
Assist and train Medair staff members to increase MHPSS awareness and on appropriate referral processes
Provide weekly and monthly reports on completed actives to the Health Project Manager
Inform the Program Manager if there is any difficulty in meeting program objectives
In coordination with Health Project Manager, attend all MH weekly and monthly meetings
Be available to train staff on PSS and psychological first aid (PFA) as requested
Contribute to the maintenance of up-to-date service and referral mapping in the area
Accomplish any other assignments given by Health Project Manager.

Staff Management
In coordination with the senior community health officer, responsible for coaching and technical supervision of community health volunteers in order to deliver PSS messages.
Assess the training needs of community volunteers and ensure that appropriate training is conducted.

Participate in Medair internal trainings; attend external meetings as delegated by Health Project Manager, represent Medair and feed back to the health project manager on relevant issues.
Logistics
Support the logistics activities for the community health portion of the project as required and delegated by the health project manager.

Ensure that all standardised templates and forms are used and guidelines are followed.
Person Specification:
-Relevant Degree(Psychologist)
-2 years relevant-post qualification professional experience
Experience working in humanitarian emergency course
Native Arabic Speaker, Good English ( oral and written)
Passionate about serving the poor
Self-motivated

Experience in training/mentoring/coaching staff
Capacityto work under pressure and manage personal stress levels
