Experience up-to-date shows that there are gaps at supported PHCCs and COVs on the integration of GBV response to the project activities

Target Audience

MdM, PUI and Amel staffs, COVs working under the project, and supported PHCCs staff.

Expected deliverables and outcomes

 

The outcomes of this consultancy are to ensure that:

        • MdM, PUI and Amel staff developed competency to take into account the national GBV response strategy, coordination and response mechanism of the project in addition to understanding basic gender inequalities to strengthen the quality and impact of project activities
        • Supported PHCCs staff and COVs developed competency on:
  • Gender concepts, approach, MdM and national gender framework
  • GBV basic concepts, contributing factors, consequences and multi sectoral approach.
  • Safe identification of GBV, case management and referral

 

The below deliverables will participate in ensuring the above mentioned outcomes and in providing quality, inclusive and gender-responsive sexual and reproductive health services in supported PHCCs:

 

        • A roadmap with detailed action plan is produced and implemented on project GBV activities with defined goal, major steps and milestones to reach outcome.
        • A skill assessment of MdM, PUI, Amel, PHCCs staff and COVs is conducted and accordingly

a training plan is established to strengthen required competencies

        • Tools on GBV response (procedures, data collection tools, forms …) are put in place at all project intervention level with the main focus at PHCCs
        • Tools to integrate gender approach at each stage of the project’s activities are developed or adapted together with Gender Coordinator
        • All actors with available services to respond to GBV survivors (including defining GBV referral pathway) are identified and shared.
        • Standardized GBV key messages are defined and shared with COVs to be integrated and used during community sensitization.
        • Documentation, data collection, analysis and reporting of GBV activities are in place and practiced at all levels, in line with the national and MdM system.
 Profile
        • Educational background of social worker, nurse, midwife and related thematic
        • Minimum 5 years proven experience in the field of GBV
        • Previous experience working with NGOs
        • Previous experience creating curriculum of training and providing capacity building, including leading workshop
        • Knowledge of gender approach (in particular integration of gender in health, assessment and plan to address gender-related barriers to healthcare including GBV services)
        • Experience in community-based activities implementation
        • Very good knowledge of written and spoken Arabic and English (French is a plus)
        • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office)
        • Good analytical skills
        • Good communication
        • Ability to work with a team as well as to work independently
Selection Process:

A competitive selection process will take place taking into consideration the entire offers including CV, technical and financial aspects.

  • CV and Cover Letter (Including Certificate and License)
  • An appreciation of the terms of reference
  • The technical approach
  • The provisional working plan (working days during the week and the working hours)
  • References of previous employees

 

  1. Financial proposal including:
  • The total financial proposal (including MOF tax 7,5% consultancy tax) incorporating the budget allocation (transportation, accommodation, and other fees).
  • Terms of payment and payment modality.
  • Proposal validity.
