IPC Trainer

Description

MdM is looking for an IPC Trainer – Consultant to build the capacity of supported about 20 PHCCs’ staff regarding Infection Control and Prevention in Primary Healthcare settings by delivering a set of 1 full-day training.

Thus, the trainer is expected to:

• Develop agenda, objective and syllabus of training including topic, timing and resources
• Prepare training material and facilitate the training in Arabic face-to-face
• Prepare an interactive and engaging session with a mix of presentations and exercises (theoretical and practical)
• Develop and carry out evaluation of the training (pre and post-test)

• Cover all IPC topics in Primary Healthcare including:

• disinfection & sterilization,
• hand and respiratory hygiene,
• precautionary measures (standard and COVID-19 related),
• proper disposal and management of wastes, including sharp disposal
• occupational health and safety,
• cleaning
• overview of existing SOPs from the MoPH regarding IPCs
• any other topic deemed relevant

• Take the attendance list of participants, with name, date and signature
• Draft a training report within 7 days after the training

The trainer will have to travel to the Bekaa by himself. The location of the training will be selected by MdM, but likely in Zahle, and equipped to host the participants. Any specific materials for the session should be costed by the candidate.

Qualifications:

• • Bachelor degree in health-related sciences
  • Experience in quality management and infection prevention & control
  • Masters degree in quality management, public health or infection control is a plus
  • Experience in delivering IPC training is mandatory
  • Experience in delivering presentations and training
