Legal Advisor

MdM Lebanon seeks to contract a qualified Law Firm on a retainer basis to provide continuous legal support, representation, and advice ensuring compliance with Lebanese laws and regulations governing NGO operations, labor relations, and institutional procedures. Only law firms registered with the Lebanese Bar Association are eligible to apply.

Main Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and amend legal documents and agreements, including contracts, MoUs, leases, consultancy and service agreements.
• Provide legal opinions and guidance on supplier contracts, organizational compliance, and internal procedures.
• Monitor legislative updates and advise on new decrees or laws impacting MdM operations.
• Represent MdM before Lebanese authorities, ministries, and courts on registration, compliance, and administrative matters.
• Provide legal advice on labor issues: recruitment, contracts, disciplinary actions, terminations, and disputes.
• Support visa, work permit, and residency processes, including renewals and cancellations.
• Liaise with the NSSF and Ministry of Labor and assist during inspections or disputes.
• Review and ensure HR policies and internal regulations comply with Lebanese labor law and safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed Law Firm registered with the Lebanese Bar Association.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience providing legal services to NGOs, INGOs, or international organizations.
• Solid knowledge of Lebanese labor, civil, and NGO laws.
• Excellent drafting and communication skills in Arabic and English (French is an asset).

Financial Proposal

Applicants are requested to submit a detailed financial proposal including:

• Annual retainer cost for an average of 30 hours of legal advisory services per year.
• Cost per additional hour beyond the included 30 hours.
