Job Purpose:

The medical advisor will be based in Beirut with field visits in Bekaa.

Your profile:

• Medical doctor
• Completed all necessary registration with the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) and the Lebanese Order of Physicians.

• 3 to 5 Proven clinical experience in national health facilities and previous experience working with NGOs as clinical health staff.

• Very good knowledge of written and spoken Arabic and English. (French is a plus)
• Good computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Good analytical skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Function description:

• Ensure compliance with protocols including accurate coding of diagnosis and that cases are managed according the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), as well as MdM standards and guidelines;
• Ensure physicians are prescribing drugs, laboratory and imaging test rationally in coherence with recommendations of the MoPH, WHO and MdM guidelines.
• Provide timely pre-approval of lab and imagery diagnostic tests prescribed by physcians from MdM supported PHCCs and any other healthcare services supported by MdM.
• Support in reviewing medical protocols and trainings
• Conduct medical records assessments and in collaboration with the Health Monitoring Officer and the Medical Program Manager ensure that an action plan is in place for each PHCC.
• Monitor the quality of care provided at the PHCCs as outlined in the quality indicators annexed to the PHCC contract;
• Participate in round tables discussions with the PHCC physicians, laboratory technicians, others requested.
