Staff Care Therapist

Purpose of the Service

 

MdM gives importance to the mental well-being of its staff as there are many challenges in the work that may test resilience. The purpose of the post is to promote good mental health,  and assure access to care for staff with psychological distress and mental disorders. Services delivered by specialists experienced in supporting organizations working in high-stress environments.

Service provision expectations:

A staff could contact a consultant via e-mail to schedule a session and this request shall be replied within 24 hours; a session shall be concluded within 1-3 following days according to selected consultant schedule. Note that staff has the option to select the consultant in terms of contact details, BIO of Consultant (This information will be circulated to staff by MdM HR) as staff’s desire.

Contact method of session should be determined during the scheduling of the session.

Service providers shall support the organization in order to create an environment that builds staff and organizational resilience, and effectively manage individuals and teams working in high stress environments.

Services delivered by specialists experienced in supporting organizations working in high-stress environments.

Supplier is required to provide concise and clear reports on utilization of services (quarterly) and impact (annually). This reports will not include any confidential information.

 

Location: Beirut, Bekaa, Tripoli, Lebanon

 

Duration of the collaboration: One Year

 

DESCRIPTION of the ASSIGNMENT

  • To support MDM Staff through periods of stress and mitigate any existed psychosocial risk towards the staff well-being.
  • Provide appropriate mental health support through individual or group counselling.
  • Provide confidential, time-limited counseling sessions to staff as requested;
  • All staff members based in Lebanon will have access to the consultation service when required at their discretion
  • Maintain strict professional standards, including standards of confidentiality while providing services
  • Provide staff care sessions for all MDM staff in small groups of up to 8 people in different locations of MDM intervention. The number of the group can be smaller taking into consideration MdM protocols for Prevention and Protection Measures for COVID-19.
  • Provide at least 2 support staff care groups sessions for each group during the period of assignment. Each support staff care group will have duration of 2 hours.
  • To identify MDM staff that need further support, by performing risk assessment, and  facilitate the link between the staff care individual counselling MDM is providing under strict confidentiality.
  • Receive employees for short debriefing sessions during or after emergencies or crisis
  • Provide group or individual consultation to all members of the team if needed.
  • Make referrals to other specialized services and other professional when needed and once staff provides consent.

 

 

Profile:

  • Licensed Psychologist (Bachelor and Master Degree)
  • Experience in conducting group support sessions or group therapy
  • At least 5 years’ experience as a practitioner psychologist
  • Work experience in provision of Staff care in Humanitarian Organizations is an asset.  Mental Health Psycho-social support (MHPSS)
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken Arabic and English. (French is a plus)
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Good analytical skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

 

SELECTION PROCESS:

 

A competitive selection process will take place taking into consideration the entire offers including CV, technical and financial aspects.

     2. Financial proposal including:

       

The total financial quotation (including MOF tax 7,5% consultancy tax) incorporating the budget allocation (transportation, accommodation and other fees).

        The quotation should also include details and information as follows:

  • Business details (Name, address, email & phone number)
  • Date
  • Cost and breakdown of costs
  • Validity of the quotation / Quotation expiry date
  • Specific conditions
  • Modality of payment / Payment terms and condition
  • Bank references and financial requirements/information
  • Any and all relevant information or deemed of value to MdM.
