Driver / Tripoli / Part time

Main responsibilities

• Driving MdM vehicles of different types.( 5 seats, 12 seats or other)
• Passenger safety and security of transported materials/equipment
• Inform the log Supervisor on departure/arrival time and location of each trip.
• Maintenance /Inspection of the vehicle
• Carrying out logistic activities under supervision of the Logistics Coordinator and security focal point.
• Remaining stand-by in the office in between movements
• Any other additional duties requested by his/her supervisor

Detailed activities

Passenger safety and security of transported materials/equipments

• Adapt his/her behavior and drive to assure passengers' security, MDM equipment and the rest of road/street users (drivers, pedestrians, etc.).
• Always drive according to the Lebanese circulation code and respect speed limits.
• Always put safety belt while driving and ensure all passengers do the same
• Ensur having a valid driving license and always have it ready for any eventual inspection
• Ensure minimum tools are in the vehicle, and report to the log officer the missing tools.  
• Ensure that all necessary documents are valid and renewed before the expiration date (insurance of the car, maps of Lebanon, workmen compensation, list of hospital, discharge of liability, first aid kits, etc.).
• Ensure waiver of liability signed with passengers who are not MDM employees. 
• Report to the log coordinator any security accident.

Maintenance of the vehicle

• Check on a regular basis the vehicle's motor, oil level, breaks liquid, air pressure of wheels, wind shield liquid, etc.
• Alert direct supervisor in case of technical problem or need for maintenance
• Organize or if possible carry out of any necessary maintenance after validation of direct supervisor
• Ensure the vehicle is clean on the inside and outside
• Ensure all necessary equipment and material is present in the vehicle and in good condition (tools, spare wheel, airlift, belts, ropes, etc.)
• Refill the fuel tank each time the tank is at ¼ of its capacity and in full each Friday night.
• Fill the log book as per MDM procedures.

 Other duties/responsibilities:

• Participate in internal work meetings and inform MdM team on log issues.
• Report any security related issues to the log coordinator.   
• Support operational organization of field trips and MdM programs/activities
• Support at the warehouse when required.
• Load /unload from MDM when it is needed.
