Roles and Responsibilities:
Ensure the quality of health care provision in all MdM programs
- Ensure compliance to protocols and that diagnosis is accurate and that cases are managed according to the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), MdM and WHO’s standards.
- Provide timely pre-approval of laboratory, medical acts, physiotherapy, and imagery diagnostic tests prescribed by physicians from PHCCs supported by MdM
- Ensure FFM and/or LPSP and health packages are being applied appropriately by supported PHCCs
- Ensure physicians are prescribing drugs, lab and imaging testing rationally in coherence with recommendations of the MoPH, WHO and MdM guidelines.
- Support in the review of medical protocols and capacity building (contribute to trainings),
- Monitor the quality of care provided at the PHCCs by following the quality indicators mentioned in the national accreditation program as well as the MdM’s monitoring framework.
- Perform monthly and quarterly medical record audits and meet with PHCC staff/Director/Manager to discuss outcomes on audits (strengths and areas to improve)
- In close collaboration with MdM MEAL department and technical/program team, review current medical records audit and recommend changes for better evaluation to the services provided and patient outcome, as well as analysis of PHCC data
Capacity building
- Conduct on the job training regarding consultation, prescription, treatment at PHCCs and referral pathways to higher level of care (secondary and tertiary health care)
- Design or adopt and deliver any other medical trainings if/when required.
Reporting and follow up
- Work with the field team to ensure recordings and completeness of medical data as per grant and reporting requirements.
- Contribute to monthly reporting of the mission
- Participation to MdM internal and external meetings as per the request of line manager
- Facilitate regular medical briefings and debriefings with MdM and partners staffs

• Master in public health is an asset.
• 2-3 years’ experience in working with Lebanese primary health care sector.
• Experience working with an NGO is preferable, with a similar role and in clinical setting will be an asset
• Experience in working with PHCCs enrolled in MoPH network and passing through the national accreditation process is an added value
• Experience in capacity building & in working with national medical staff.
• Ability to conduct field visits on a regular basis.
• Proficiency in Arabic and English language is mandatory.
• Good writing and communication skills
