About the project and the position

A consortium of six organizations, including Médecins du Monde (MdM), Skoun, Abaad, Amel, Embrace and Humanity and Inclusion (HI), along with National Mental Health Program (NMHP), supported by the Agence Francaise de Development (AFD), aims to improve the opportunities for individuals living in Lebanon to enjoy the best possible mental health and wellbeing. The consortium is looking to recruit a mental health expert to provide remote support for COVID 19 patients and medical staff as needed working in hospital units treating COVID 19 patients, including persons in quarantine who are in need.

Tasks and duties

• Provide support over the phone in line with the guiding document by the National mental health Programme that describes the standard operating procedures for the delivery of phone-based mental health and psychosocial support services intervention,
• Ensure secure time for calls with the above depending on the need,
• Log in the number of calls done,
• Fill out the intake form and referral form as needed for the callers,
• Provide report on each session provided in line with confidentiality and privacy principle.

Deliverables

• Delivered sessions
• Filled relevant forms
• Monthly progress report of the conducted sessions

Education, experience and relevant skills

• Degree in psychiatry or Master in psychology (License to practice is a must and to be trained on evidence based therapy),
• Fluent in Arabic and English,
• Similar work experience related to mental health and substance use. Minimum 10 years of experience,
• Aligned with National Criteria for recruitment developed by the national mental health programme link,

• Ability to work under pressure,
• Good communication skills,
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills,
• Good analytical skills, and
• Reliability and accountability.
