Main responsibilities:
- To define the framework and ensure the implementation of the process for the procurement, stock management and dispensing of pharmaceutical products, in compliance with national and international regulatory constraints and in line with MdM’s good practice.
Main Activities:
Pharmacy
- Analysing the national and international regulatory framework and MdM standards
- Updating, disseminating, and implementing pharmacy management tools and procedures and dispensing and distribution protocols, and destructing pharmaceutical products
- Managing alerts and incidents regarding pharmaceutical products (batch recalls, quarantine, etc.)
- Obtaining authorisations for distribution, storage, donations, etc.
- Participating in the quality review of practices by analysing prescriptions
- Supporting and coaching teams and/or partners; providing technical supervision, analysing practices, making recommendations, implementing corrective actions
- Building capacity, training teams and/or partners
- Studying import regulations in partnership with Logistics
- Evaluating / auditing suppliers
- Estimating supply requirements, anticipating stock shortages and planning purchases
- Supervising the supply of bases and/or partners
- Insuring the management of the central pharmacy
- Performing inventories and analyzing consumption
- Implementing the data collection system
- Compiling, analysing, monitoring, and communicating pharmacy data
- Drafting activity reports

- Analyse medical consumption (consistency between prescriptions and observed consumption) and report any discrepancies that are observed
- Plan and evaluate the supply chain (suppliers, orders, anticipation of needs, import, transport, etc.)
Requested Competence/skills:
- Pharmacist with 2 to 3 years of experience with an NGO or INGO
- Experience related to primary health care
- Experience in medical procurement and stock management
- Proficiency with Microsoft word and excel.
- Knowledge of PHENICS
- Good level in spoken and written Arabic and English
- Autonomy, motivation, punctuality, flexibility, honesty and calm
